Sahika Inal, associate professor of bioengineering at KAUST, has been selected to deliver the 2025 Kavli Foundation Emerging Leader in Chemistry Lecture, awarded by the American Chemical Society (ACS).
The lectureship recognizes outstanding early-career scientists in chemistry or related fields. Inal delivered a keynote lecture at the ACS Fall 2025 National Meeting in Washington, D.C., on August 18, where the award was formally presented.

Professor Inal leads the Organic Bioelectronics Laboratory, where her research focuses on organic electronic materials for biological sensing and stimulation. She has authored more than 135 publications and holds 10 patent applications.
