Cell and Developmental Biology

Our research explores the cellular mechanisms behind growth, differentiation, and function, including RNA biology and gene regulation, to understand inherited and infectious diseases. Applications extend to regenerative medicine, environmental health, and sustainable agriculture, supporting advancements in healthcare and biotechnology.

Epigenetics, Genomics and Genetics

We study gene expression regulation through epigenetics and investigate genetic adaptations using genomics. Leveraging KAUST’s advanced sequencing and bioinformatics capabilities, we decode complex biological systems, predict biological behavior, and explore adaptations to extreme environments.
