A Journey To Reduce Food Waste and Create Abundance for All

Presenter
Dr. Jenny Du
Date
20 Sep, 2022
Time
09:00 AM – 10:00 AM

Abstract:
More than a third of the food we produce is wasted. What value can one create if we could give stakeholders in the supply chain more time while maintaining quality and freshness? How can we more perfectly match supply with demand in order to reduce waste?
This presentation will walk through the early history of Apeel Sciences, the evolution of the technology (from edible coatings to data-driven platforms) and business model, our strive to stand as a symbol of sustainability, and a vision for the future of fresh produce.
