Abstract:
We investigated the effectiveness of the biofunctionalized peptide hydrogel, IIZKRGD, in facilitating the formation of intestinal organoid-like structures. The findings demonstrate that this peptide supports morphological maturation, differentiation into multiple epithelial cell lineages, and the development of a functional barrier. Furthermore, the results indicate that IIZKRGD represents a promising alternative to Matrigel, offering potential advantages in reducing variability and lowering cost.
