​Congratulations to the two professors in our Division who participated in the TEDx KAUST Event on March 4! 
Mark Tester, Professor of Plant Science, and Manuel Aranda, Assistant Professor of Marine Science participated as speakers in the self-organized event focused on the theme Impact Factor along with seven other KAUST community members (students, faculty, and staff).
The event aimed to redefine the term Impact Factor as a qualitative measure of one’s impact on the people and community around them. The ideas and talks presented at TEDxKAUST 2017 aimed to encourage people to pursue a life that has an impact beyond simple measurable outcomes.
