On November 27th, Iain Young, the Dean of the Biological Environmental Sciences and Engineering (BESE) assigned the Dean’s Awards to 51 students known for being academic-focused with a global outlook. The awardees were nominated by the division and received the awards in a social event that took place at Al Marsa.
Successfully engaged in plant science, environmental science and engineering, marine science, bioscience, and bioengineering, BESE students apply their knowledge and investigations to find solutions for the world's biggest problems such as access to food and water, global health issues, climate change, and the preservation of the environmental.
The Dean's Awards were created to annually recognize the top-ranking students and celebrate their academic achievements.
